Jim McDonald is one of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious artists. Born in 1939 in the shadows of the shipyard, Jim who himself is a third generation shipyard worker, encapsulates the very essence of what it was like to live and work in 1940’s East Belfast.
Those who have commissioned Jim’s work include the Governor General of Canada and The Lord Mayor of Belfast. He also has collectors in USA, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe.
